Balisana focuses on the life and work of the Basotho herders in the Southern African mountain kingdom of Lesotho. Herders recount their struggles to rear livestock at the remote grazing posts in the Maluti mountains, and examine issues crucial to their survival. This video, the first to ducument the life and work of the basotho herders, is a collaboration venture between herders, film-makers, and anthropologist and an ecologist.
